On the eve of our performance of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, A Cantare Children’s Choir Alumni revisits the epic experience of our first live production of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The score for The Two Towers packs a particular punch in comparison to the other two films. The movie chronicles some of the darkest points of the story as the mortal world is crumbling all around from forces of evil, fear, and greed. Shore’s music is diligently deployed in bringing the human side of the story back into the narrative as the voices remind the viewers of the lives affected by the events.

In preparation for this musical celebration, think on what brings awe into your world. What inspires you? What gives you purpose? For many of our singers, the joyous experience of making music connects down to a deep love for things unseen and a desire to find a common purpose in song.
