Rehearsals Mondays 5:30-6:45 PM Lutheran Church of the Cross

Cantilena is our ensemble intended as an introductory experience to choral singing for boys and girls who are 6 to 10 years of age. Basic skills in musical understanding and performance begin here and provide a wonderful framework on which children can build.

The goal of our once-weekly rehearsals is to instill a love of singing. A focus on unison song, an encouraging atmosphere, high-energy activities and selected performance opportunities create a pleasurable experience for all. Cantilena participates in our four concerts, our Autumn and Winter Retreats, and our workshop programs.

Cantilena choristers make friends right away and are encouraged to embrace their curiosity and desire to discover new ideas. Together, choristers embark on a musical journey that can continue through our ensembles until the end of highschool and beyond!

Looking to join Cantilena next season? Our Songsters classes are the perfect place to get started building skills right now!
